The Petit Clos is the second wine of Clos Apalta, but undergoes the same precise winemaking as the Grand Vin, with a little less new oak, making it a more approachable but no-less-delicious example from Chile's Colchagua valley. 40% Cabernet gives this excellent structure, with a silky texture and impressive depth of flavour. It's a wine that far outperforms its price point.

Blackberry, fresh herb, wet earth and tar aromas follow through to a full body, with powerful tannins and density yet an agile and polished, textured finish. Much better than 2014. The second wine of Clos Apalta. Try it in 2021.
