About the wine company

In 1908, this wine company in Luján de Cuyo was founded by Leonciu Arizu, from Navarre in Spain. The third and fourth generations of this family are currently expanding the company. This makes it one of the few wine companies in Argentina that has remained in the ownership of its founders for more than 110 years. They are justifiably proud of that. In 1989, the family helped establish Argentina's first DO (Controlled Designation of Origin) for Malbec in Luján de Cuyo, which is located in Mendoza.

About the vineyard

The Finca la Linda vineyard is located at an altitude of more than 960 meters above sea level. These are the foothills of the Andes. Due to this altitude, there is a special climate here. The nights cool down considerably due to the proximity of the peaks of the Andes and the daytime temperatures can reach up to 36 degrees. These Malbec vineyards are 30 years old. When the grapes are well ripened, the bunches are harvested manually. Vinification takes place in stainless steel barrels at a temperature of 28°C. This is followed by partial aging in oak barrels for 8 months.

About the wine

The wine has a vibrant purple-red color. In the scent you can smell red fruit, floral tones and vanilla. The taste is intense and juicy and there is a good balance between the tannins and the acids. The label depicts the old Malbec vine from which this wine is made.
