Antinori's Pian delle Vigne estate in Montalcino produces this Vigna Ferrovia Riserva from a single prized vineyard, aged to the extended Riserva standard required for Brunello's most serious expressions of Sangiovese.

Deep garnet with a brick edge, it shows dried cherry, leather, tobacco and sweet spice from long oak ageing, with firm, resolved tannins and a long, complex finish.
