Catena Zapata Birth of Cabernet 2021

A limited "Birth of Cabernet" cuvée from Catena Zapata commemorating the family's pioneering high-altitude Cabernet Sauvignon plantings in Mendoza — some of the first anywhere in Argentina to prove the variety could rival the world's best at elevation.

Deep garnet, it offers blackcurrant, graphite and dried herbs on the nose, with a structured, firmly tannic palate that rewards a few years in the cellar or a generous decant now.
