Kumeu River Coddington Chardonnay 2023

Kumeu River is New Zealand's reference Chardonnay producer, and the Coddington vineyard — planted on the estate's clay-rich home block — gives a Burgundian-inspired style built on barrel fermentation and extended lees ageing.

Pale gold, it shows white peach, grapefruit and a subtle nutty complexity from lees contact, with a rich, textured palate and lively acidity carrying to a long, mineral finish.
