The nose is elegant and complex with aromas of very well-blended ripe red and black fruit. Aromas of crème de cassis, tobacco, and black pepper stand out against a backdrop of toast and pastry notes. The palate is smooth, but well-structured with sweet tannins leading to a lasting and elegant finish.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Montes Alpha is in fact 10% Merlot and was aged for 12 months in 30% new French oak barrels. The layered nose offers precise, fruity notes of black currant, mint and cherry, balanced harmoniously by the wood. Complex, with firm, grippy but fine tannins. The lengthy finish is pleasantly compact with a hint of raisin.
