Tempos Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5 2018

Valbuena 5° is Tempos Vega Sicilia's second wine from its legendary Ribera del Duero estate — aged for five years before release (hence the name) and sharing the same meticulous, patient winemaking philosophy as the flagship Vega Sicilia Único.

Deep garnet, it's layered with black cherry, cedar, tobacco and a touch of dill from extended American and French oak ageing, with refined, resolved tannins and a long, complex finish.

Tasting notes: Tempranillo-led blend with Merlot. Deep garnet; black cherry and cedar; refined, complex finish.

Food pairing: Roast game, aged Manchego, or slow-braised beef.
