Antinori's Umbrian estate, Castello della Sala, produces this varietal Pinot Nero — a cooler-climate expression of the grape grown in the Lazio/Umbria hills, applying the house's Tuscan winemaking rigour to an unexpected variety for the region.

Bright ruby, it shows red cherry, rose petal and a light earthy note, medium-bodied with fine, silky tannins and a fresh, elegant finish.
