The Winery
La Rioja Alta S.A. winery, located in the Barrio de la Estación area in Haro, Spain, and founded in 1890 by five Basque and Riojan vinegrowers, holds the honor of having converted the name of the Rioja subzone into a brand.
In the difficult art of creating great wines, they combine the wisdom of tradition and the state of the art to make wine from their own grapes by employing the most advanced technology. Oak is at the core of the aging process and therefore they manufacture their own Amerian oak barrels using a completely artisanal method.
With their grand knowledge of winemaking and grape cultivation, the winery very carefully cultivates 473 hectares of grapevines. The meticulous selection of grapes receives long vinification and aging processes following the philosophy of the Rioja Alta winery to craft the best-quality wines on the market.

Tasting Notes
Outstanding, medium-high depth, dark-cherry red with an intense pinkish rim. Very intense to the nose, with outstanding spicy aromas of black pepper, cloves, cinnamon and vanilla enveloping fine notes of red berries. In the mouth, a pleasant structure, balanced acidity and delicate, enveloping tannins. Broad finish, with a round, elegant aftertaste.
